Last Saturday a family of four came to the clinic. It was a a busy day at the clinic and I had been observing them in the waiting area, all of them moving around, very restless, expressing their urgency for the consultation. When they entered the cabin, they were very anxious, very restless, the smallest member aged 12 was a participant on the TV show SaRe Ga Ma, a musical show and her voice had become hoarse. She was in the bottom two ranks of the competition. For two weeks she had not been performing too well and on Tuesday, there was a chance of her elimination. The whole family had come from Nagpur and she would have to go back empty handed. They had pooled in all their savings so that she could participate and there was lot at stake here. Obviously, they were so stressed and pacing. Also, they had already been waiting at the clinic for quite some time and had to rush back to the studio.
I had very little time for history and half of it was lost with their anxious exhorting.
I send them all out and spoke to the “star child”.
She narrated, “Ma’am, I have been exerting my throat a lot, rehearsing for long hours everyday. The exertion of the shoots was also there. Also there is a lot of stress since I have to perform well, given the last chance I have or else I shall have to go back home disappointed.”
She was a very confident girl and spoke very clearly about what she felt.
“ I have a feeling that the judges don’t like me as much. They seem to favour another contestant more. Maybe that’s the reason they give me difficult songs. Also, I always put on a hat when I sing. I like to use the stage, entertain and sing, that is how I am used to. In one of the comments it was pointed to me that this is a singing show and my movement around the stage was restricted. I was told to focus on my singing alone. That disturbed my flow. The competition is so fierce, I have to make it this time. My voice starts trembling after some time and it is hoarse. Because of this I am not sure whether I shall be able to sing well. I am not confident of my notes.”
On what she liked about singing, she said. “ I love to be on stage, perform, entertain, I get to meet great people , the singers, judges. I want to do well here and be a part of the industry, singing, doing shows. I like all this very much. My parents are also singers and I have learnt from them.”
This is all the history they had time for. This girl had a spark. She had that vivaciousness. She was forthcoming, confident and had a desire to make it big.
I gave her a dose of a medicine called Lachesis on my feel alone, not referring to the rubrics.
On Monday evening I received a call from her. She was well. Her throat was better, slightly hoarse but the notes were not faltering. She was very confident and all prepared for her big day.
Wednesday morning again, I received a call from her overjoyed mom, who told me that she had done it : cleared the eliminations, received a chartbuster ( I don't know what that means). She was wonderful, with the difficult song, the judges, the audience, everyone loved her. She was now ready to go to another city for the concert and was very pleased homeopathy had helped her get back her spark.
This is the speed of the action of Homoeopathy!
